Because I have heard some marketers raving about this system, I decided to put it to the test. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised that the basic package of this account offered almost all of what they were promising on their sales page. Sure there are upsells involved, as obviously the initial $9.95 that you paying is somehow rather cheap-sounding for all that you supposedly get.

The product is owned by Devon Brown who is a former hip-hop dancer. He is an entertainer, well-known internet entrepreneur, and personal growth coach. He is best know for his best-selling and very popular system which is this one – 12 Minute Affiliate.
Devon Brown is also an email marketing expert who as been trained by other email marketing masters, such as Matt Bacak. In fact, Matt Bacak mentions Devon as one of his students.
In case you don’t know, Matt Bacak is one of the top email marketing trainers on the planet, well in my opinion. Devon Brown does seem like the real deal when is comes to helping others learn the skills of marketing online and does have a passion that is quickly seen when you see any of his videos inside of this program.
Ok I think the ads for the product are pretty hyped up when they say that you can make $450 in 12 minutes, and maybe it can happen, but it took me a lot longer than 12 minutes to set up the system. I would say close to an hour.
But I must admit it is the quickest way for a beginner in affiliate marketing to get sales funnels set up and to start the selling process without all the processes that go with building a website and writing all your own emails to send to your list.
This system is virtually plug-in and play, as they give you a product to sell, as well as all the sales funnels and emails that you need to close the deal. All you basically need to do once the system is set up is send traffic to your page.
Do You Need A Website?
No, you don’t. Everything is hosted on their side. You will however need to sign up for an autoresponder account and you will need to pay for traffic if you want your campaigns to be successful.
How Much Does It Cost?
Well, you pay $9.95 for the first week, then after that $47 per month. There are other upgrades that are more expensive and also the option to have a lifetime membership.
Is There A Learning Curve?
The system is very simple to use, but if you have never used an autoresponder before, this will be where the learning curve comes in.
Is 12 Minute Affiliate A Scam
No 12 minute affiliate is definitely not a scam, as they have a good product that they are selling that works and many people have had varying degrees of success with it.
What Are The Upsells And Do You Need Them To Make Money?
1st Upsell – Coaching
The coaching will teach you how to use your auto-responder which is Aweber. It will also teach you how to find more profitable products to promote and how to get even better results each day.
If you are a total beginner online, this upsell will help a lot, but if you are not you won’t need it.
2nd Upsell – Upgrading Your Account

With the basic membership, you get the landing pages, products they recommend to promote, and the email templates for only one of the niches (your choice), not all 3.
If you upgrade to the Gold Package, you get all 3 niches: Online Business, Personal Development, and Health/Fitness and products to recommend with them.
I must admit that I would prefer to choose my own products to promote, and we all know how difficult and competitive these niches can be to sell on.
There are also two types of funnel to chose from and one that has been recently added is the custom funnel, which is great if you don’t want a funnel that looks the same as everyone elses.
Both the instant funnels and the customer funnels are of very high quality and are completely customizable so that you can go beyond the “set and forget” aspect of the program.
Pros:
- Perfect for beginners and even intermediate marketers as easy to use.
- You can make money on a daily basis if you work at it.
- You can earn income through multiple sources.
- Automatically generated email follow-up series for each niche offered, which means you don’t need to write your own.
- You can work from wherever you want, as long as you have a computer and an internet connection.
- Professional looking funnels that are proven converters.
- You can start making money without creating a website or any product.
- There is some free traffic training included if you can’t afford to go mad on the paid traffic yet.
Cons:
- A little on the pricey side, especially since you still have to pay for your autoresponder and your traffic.
- Everyone has the same funnels they are using for the same products.
- Doesn’t teach you the skills you need to know to be successful online, and buying traffic is another thing that does require some skill.
- You can buy solo ads through the system, but I find this form of advertising not as effective as it was a few years back.
- Upsells are not necessary.
- The training is mainly geared towards building lists, and there is nothing on content marketing, which in my opinion is a great free method to get traffic to your funnel.
My Verdict
I decided not to try 12 Minute Affiliate any further than the week trial, mainly because of the fact that I don’t have that much extra time to spend on the system to make it worthwhile. You do require a fair amount of time to build your list, as only when you have a large enough list, will you see a significant amount of sales coming in.
I am currently working full time as a dance teacher and spend time each day building up my affiliate marketing business. To do this I need time to work on my websites, and 12 Minute Affiliate is something you need to keep feeding traffic to in order to make it pay for you.
If you have your own online business, you can get traffic from the search engines for free, so long term this is a better option for me.
12 Minute Affiliate System is a great system to try out though if you don’t want to go to all the effort that it takes to build up your own online business, and it is not a scam.
I would recommend it to people who have a full-time job and want an easy system on the side to make some extra income with.
