The next thing this strategy will do for you is it will force you to get up and move. By the time you have gone to each clock and turned them off your blood will be flowing and you will no longer be half asleep.

If you lack upper body strength, there are other ways, like placing a set of weights, a ball or even a recumbent bike and make yourself use the equipment before you allow yourself to eat.

Every bit of exercise you do helps, and it can be done in ten-minute spurts throughout the day if your schedule is tight.

Fill your fridge with tasty but healthy snacks.

Get rid of junk food, sodas, and doughnuts.

Stock up on pretzels, carrot sticks that are ready to eat, nuts and fresh fruit.

If there is no junk to eat, everyone will naturally reach for what is easily accessible. If it’s not there you can’t eat it.

    • Thanks for stopping by Stella. Sitting at a computer all day can quickly become a bad habit, so at least adding some exercise to the mix you improve your health and your posture at the same time.

  2. It’s fascinating to realise how independent our mind is and if not well trained before it disobeys. 

    It might just be too much to handle for just anyone. My high point in this post is getting to trick one’s mind to saving. This is one of the hardest tasks I’m confronted with these days. No matter how I try it, it just doesn’t seem to work out. I need I’ll follow your advice and go for the piggy bank, maybe that would limit my access to breaking my bank every time.

    • Another good way of saving is to get a stop order on your account on the same day your salary goes in. The money comes off and goes into your savings before you even realise it was there.
